PRODUCT RATIONALIZATION

Product rationalization to enhance operational clarity and agility

The Telco operator has been in the business for over 10 years and has accumulated a sizable list of product catalog. This resulted in high operational costs, frequent provisioning errors, and inconsistent customer experiences. It was also difficult to analyze customer insights, and report revenue attributions, resulting in frequent normalizations with adjustments.


We reviewed and optimized the list of product contructs by working closely with the product, customer care and provisioning teams, supported by finance, legal, product IT and regulatory functions.


  1. Product Catalog Audit and Customer Analysis

    1. Mapped all bundles across the suite of products and price plans

    2. Performed customer analysis to identify areas for optimization.


  2. Customer Migration We helped the client to also develop the business case, migration plans and narratives to migrate customers to the resultant list of product bundles.


  3. Product Governance Framework and Logic

    We also helped the client to establish a governance framework and principles to control future creation of product bundles through modularity and attributability, with exceptions handling.
